Stella Rosalie Tarr, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ben and Ida Boxdorfer Griffaw. She and John Tarr were married June 25, 1934, in Cape Gir-ardeau. He died Dec. 10, 1997.
Tarr was a seamstress many years at Griffaw Manufacturing Co. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, John Tarr of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Mary Ann Wilhelm of Benton, Mo., Barbara Sachse of Murray, Ky., Rosalie Brown of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Mabel Ferrel of Branson, Mo., Kathryn Patrick and Margaret Rafferty of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Derek Swanson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
