SIKESTON -- Stella K. Meadows, 89, of Sikeston died Monday, March 22, 1999, at Miner Nursing Center.
She was born April 19, 1909, in Defeated Creek, Tenn., daughter of Arthur and Lura Jones Donoho.
She married Claude D. Meadows Oct. 16, 1924. He died Dec. 4, 1990.
She had been a homemaker and was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.
Survivors include two sons, James L. "Jim" Meadows of Sikeston and E.C. "Comer" Meadows of LaFayette, Tenn.; a daughter, Emogene Darby of Dearborn, Mich.; two sisters, Jewell Sanlin of Kokomo, Ind., and Manella Ward of Portageville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pat Hogan officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
