Haynes, 94, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1993, at Hendersonville Retirement Center.

She was born Oct. 29, 1898, at Bloomfield, daughter of James W. and Elizabeth Matthews Cartwright. She and Henry Nelson Haynes were married in 1919 at Bloomfield. He died July 29, 1965.

Haynes was a member of the Baptist church.
