JACKSON -- Stella P. Glueck, 78, of Jackson, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at her home. She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John W. and Josephine Kirchdoerfer Brucker. She and Walter F. Glueck were married in 1940 at Dutchtown. He died May 30, 1951...

JACKSON -- Stella P. Glueck, 78, of Jackson, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at her home.

She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John W. and Josephine Kirchdoerfer Brucker. She and Walter F. Glueck were married in 1940 at Dutchtown. He died May 30, 1951.

Mrs. Glueck helped operate the family farm many years, and also drove a bus for VIP Industries in Cape Girardeau for five years.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, and VFW Auxiliary to Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Glueck of Shenandoah Valley, Va., Robert "Beaver" Glueck of Chaffee; three sisters, Christine Schabbing and Marie Mabrey of Cape Girardeau, Allene Glueck of Chaffee; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, sister and great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Church, with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
