CHARLESTON -- Stella D. Tinker, a resident of the Bertrand Nursing Center and a former resident of Charleston, died Aug. 3, 1993, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Jan. 23, 1907, at Potosi to the late John and Maggie Harper Bouse. She had lived in El Paso, Texas, for a number of years, returning to Mississippi County in 1990. CHARLESTON -- Stella D. Tinker, a resident of the Bertrand Nursing Center and a former resident of Charleston, died Aug. 3, 1993, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Jan. 23, 1907, at Potosi to the late John and Maggie Harper Bouse. She had lived in El Paso, Texas, for a number of years, returning to Mississippi County in 1990. She was of the Baptist faith.

On Jan. 24, 1923, she married Walter Tinker, who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1967. Four brothers, four sisters and one grandson also preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Harold Tinker of El Paso, Floyd Tinker of Davenport, Fla., and Leo Tinker of Charleston; one daughter, Freda Veccro of New Orleans; one brother, Arthur Bouse of Middle Point, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral services will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church of Charleston, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
