CHAFFEE -- Stella C. Harrell, 75, of Chaffee died Sunday, June 30, 1991, at the Cape LaCroix Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Brownwood, the daughter of the late Henry and Cordelia Brandon George.
On Oct. 21, 1933, she married G. C. Harrell, who preceded her in death May 25, 1984.
She was retired from Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.
Survivors include three sons, Jess Harrell, G. C. Harrell Jr. and Danny Harrell, all of Chaffee; two daughters, Naomi Smithwick of Jonesboro, Ark. and Janet Welter of Kelso; a sister, Novella McDowell of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, a step-brother, five half-brothers, four half-sisters, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
