CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Stella Mae Andrews, 83, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 4, 1917, in Allenville, Mo., daughter of Albert and Mable Withers Lape. Stella and James Lemuel Andrews were married in December 1935 at Benton, Mo. He died March 9, 1963...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Stella Mae Andrews, 83, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 4, 1917, in Allenville, Mo., daughter of Albert and Mable Withers Lape. Stella and James Lemuel Andrews were married in December 1935 at Benton, Mo. He died March 9, 1963.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Welter Westrich of Chaffee; a brother, Cecil Lape of Chaffee; a granddaughter, Michelle Schaefer; and two great-grandsons, Adam and Mitchell Schaefer of Oran, Mo.

She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, and a grandson.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with Brother Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
