Stanley Brown

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Stanley Edward Brown, 80, of Chaffee died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 23, 1924, at Herculaneum, Mo., son of Robert and Mary Idell Tripp Brown. He and Wanda Lorse were married July 18, 1952. She died Feb. 22, 2005.

Brown was self-employed in construction and sheet metal. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Chaffee.

A veteran of World War II, he was a sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a stepbrother, John Kennedy of Whitewater, and a stepsister, Grace McNeely of Advance, Mo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 9 a.m. today until time of service.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Revs. William Marshall and Darren Larken officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with full military honors.
