MARBLE HILL -- Stanley O. Brock, 73, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 4, 1923, at Parma, son of Walter and Florence Walker Brock.
Brock was a retired locksmith. He served in the U.S. Navy, and then served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received four Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.
Survivors include a son, Stanley Brock Jr. of Bridgeton; four daughters, Dorotha Brock, Charlotte Parris and Carol Myers, all of Dexter, Mary Miles of Lodi, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Brock of O'Fallon; two sisters, Hazel Canney of Houston, Texas, Dixie Yount of Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee. The Rev. Byron Yount will officiate.
Hutchings Funeral Home at Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
