Woods, 77, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 12, 1918, in Princeton, son of William F. and Ella Sires Woods. He and Anita Beal were married June 21, 1937.

Woods was sales manager with Prudential Life Insurance Co. 25 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Norman Woods of Sikeston; a daughter, Linda Markel of St. Louis; a sister, Jetoria Merry of Montrose, Colo.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
