SONNY HOLDERFIELD

ULLIN, Ill. -- Jerry "Sonny" Holderfield, 56, of Ullin died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at his home.

He was born May 27, 1942, in Ullin, son of Charles Lincoln and Beulah Geneva Jameson Holderfield. He and Terri McHarry were married Dec. 28, 1982.

Holderfield had been a truck driver and coached girls softball. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeremy Shane of Ullin, Keith Holderfield of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Jennifer Keller of Dongola, Kimberly Petty of Franklin, Tenn.; a stepson, Todd Root of Lick Creek; a stepdaughter, Lisa Doctorman of Ullin; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Martin officiating. Burial will be in Ullin Cemetery.
