Sister Shirley Ann Greaser, 76, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Veronica House/Sarah Community in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Gordonville, daughter of Leo and Lillie Thomure Greaser.
Shirley attended St. Mary Grade School in Cape Girardeau and high school and college in St. Louis.
She made her profession of first vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame on Aug. 3, 1956, and final vows Aug. 3, 1962. She taught elementary and religious education in Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, and California for 42 years and worked 10 years at Notre Dame Tutorial Center in St. Louis.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Greaser of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Greaser of Cape Girardeau; a sister-in-law, Jean Greaser of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nieces Bernadette Schultz, Jeanette Guzkowski, Gaye Greaser, Kim Hornbuckle and Theresa Williams; and a nephew, Joseph Greaser.
The funeral was Nov. 27 at the Motherhouse Chapel/Theresa Center in St. Louis. Burial was in Motherhouse Cemetery.
