ADVANCE -- Sister Agnes Seyer, 80, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at Cori Manor Professional Nursing Home in Fenton.
A native of Advance, she entered the congregation of School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1936 and professed her final vows in 1945.
Seyer worked in food service 44 years at schools in St. Louis, St. Mary's School in Cape Girardeau, and at schools in Illinois and Iowa. She also did community service at St. Mary's 11 years, and then worked in the finance office at St. Mary's nine years. She retired in Cape Girardeau in 1995, and had recently moved to Cori Manor.
Survivors include four brothers, Ray Seyer of Cape Girardeau, Lawrence and Elmer Seyer of Oran, Paul Seyer of Richfield, Minn.; two sisters, Sister Michaelette Seyer, SSND, of Chatawa, Miss., and Mary Woltering of Breese, Ill.
Friends may call at School Sisters of Notre Dame Motherhouse Chapel in Lemay from 4-8 p.m. Friday. A prayer service will be held at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with burial in Motherhouse cemetery.
