SIMON WESTRICH

Funeral Mass for Simon Leo Westrich, 812 Good Hope, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Revs. Glen Eftink and James Seyer will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Westrich, 95, died Saturday, June 15, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 16, 1900, at New Hamburg, son of Phillip and Louise Bisher Westrich. He and Justine Blattel were married May 14, 1924, at Benton. She died July 14, 1967.

Westrich was employed 33 years at Marquette Cement Co., retiring in 1966.

He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, United Cement, Lime and Gypsum Workers, and an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council 1111.

Survivors include two sons, Alfred H. and Leroy J. Westrich, both of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
