Shirley "Rip" Phillips Wulfekuehler, 66, of Hartsburg, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at her home.
She was born April 24, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of Arthur G. and Lydia Warman Heyne. She and the Rev. Edward Wulfekuehler were married Jan. 3, 1982, at Hartsburg.
Wulfekuehler received a bachelor of science degree in education from Washington University in St. Louis.
She had been assistant to the director of the Jefferson City Rape and Abuse Crisis Center since 1991. She previously was an administrative social worker with Missouri Child Welfare Department and had worked with the Missouri Child Support Enforcement Agency. She was a member of Columbia United Church of Christ and Delta Gamma sorority.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Lisa Renfrow of Houston, Texas; two sons, Mark Phillips of Rochester, N.Y., Clay Phillips of Springfield, and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at Freeman Mortuary from noon to 1 p.m. Friday.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Freeman Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Brandenburg officiating.
