BERNIE, Mo. -- Shirley Fay "Sis" Niswonger, 64, of Bernie died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at her residence.
She was born May 20, 1936, at Parma, Mo., daughter of Loren and Ethel Robertson Stinson. She and Billy Gene Niswonger were married. He died June 6, 1975.
Niswonger had been a Girl Scout leader for many years, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her mother; five daughters, Betty Niswonger of Jackson, Mo., Barbara Hilts of Kalkaska, Mich., Brenda Crites of St. Augustine, Fla., and Ethel Niswonger and Bonny Niswonger, both of Bernie, Mo.; a sister, Shelby Gullick of Keokuk, Iowa.; three brothers, Carl Stinson of Jackson, Wilmer Stinson of Hamel, Ill., and Ronnie Stinson of Cahokia, Ill.; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and a brother.
Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo., from 6 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dale Hartle will officiate, with burial in the Bernie Cemetery.
