ST. LOUIS -- Shirley June Myracle, formerly of Ironton, Missouri, and Cape Girardeau, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, in St. Louis at the age of 81 years.
She was born March 23, 1936, in Ironton, the daughter of the late John and Orpha Mable Rains Hughes.
Shirley worked as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Hospital in Ironton.
She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing bingo and making crafts.
Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Andre Audi of Frontenac, Missouri; her grandchildren, Julian and Gia Audi, also of Frontenac; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her son, James Curtis Myracle; her husband, Curtis Myracle; two brothers, Edward and Bud Hughes; and three sisters, Mae Browers, Mable Hartwick and Nellie Browers.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Knob, Missouri.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Arcadia, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
