Shirley Hutchason

Shirley Jean Hutchason, 78, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Cape Girardeau to the late John and Sarah Pippins Dietiker. She and Roy Hutchason were married in 1963. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1993.

Shirley retired from the Cape Girardeau Walmart after 25 years of service and also worked at Kidd's Convenience Store for 18-plus years.

Loving survivors include a son, Ronald (Kara) Hutchason of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Kathy (Tom) Ohlmutz of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Teresa Eklins; brothers, John "Jiggs" Dietiker, Frank (Pat) Dietiker and Mike (Dorothy) Dietiker, all of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Betty Dietiker and Janet Amelunke, both of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Jeremy, and wife Teresa, Zach, Kaitlin and husband Adam, Dawson and Cort; and three great-grandchildren, Breydan, Holden and Lillian.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
