JACKSON -- Shirley Fay Blattel Banks, 60, of Ste. Genevieve, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1993, at St. Anthony Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born April 27, 1933, in Bollinger County, daughter of Truman and Mildred Bollinger. She married Harold F. Blattel April 28, 1956. He preceded her in death. She and Charles Banks were married May 3, 1933, at Imperial.

Banks had been a nurse aide at St. Francis Medical Center, retiring in 1977. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Scott City.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sheila Madras of St. Louis, Lisa Hale of Scott City; her mother of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Linda Battley of Rolla; a stepson, Charles Banks Jr. of Arnold; four brothers, Bob Bollinger of Sedgewickville, Sam Bollinger of St. Charles, Paul Bollinger of Fruitland, Danny Bollinger of Jackson; a sister, Carol Williams of West Frankfort, Ill., and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Thomas Bray will officiate, with burial in Pulliam Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
