GLEN ALLEN, Mo. -- Shirley A. Barker, 66, of Glen Allen died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 25, 1934, at Malden, Mo., daughter of Silas D. and Versa L. Gobbel Morris. She and James A. Barker Sr. were married April 2, 1951. She was a homemaker and founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Glen Allen Fire Department...

GLEN ALLEN, Mo. -- Shirley A. Barker, 66, of Glen Allen died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at her home.

She was born Jan. 25, 1934, at Malden, Mo., daughter of Silas D. and Versa L. Gobbel Morris. She and James A. Barker Sr. were married April 2, 1951.

She was a homemaker and founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Glen Allen Fire Department.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James (Wendy) Barker of Glen Allen; four daughters, Sandy (Randy) Blusiewicz of Cape Coral, Fla., Christa (Chris) Liley of Marble Hill, Mo., Janice (Roger) Moyer of Glen Allen, Kathy Parker of Plainfield, Ill.; three brothers, Oscar Barnes and Silas Van Morris of Kennett, Mo., Melson Morris of Mounds, Ill.; four sisters, Peggy Bauman of Blue Eye, Mo., Sharon Belcher of Holcomb, Mo., Glenda Williams of Mounds, Carol Hicks of Rector, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Dearrell, Michael, Gary Don, and one in infancy; and two sisters, Martha and Jackie.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 3:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Poole and the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Barker Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barker Family Cemetery Association.
