BLOOMFIELD -- Shirley Ann Mowery, 62, of Farmington, died Thursday, May 1, 1997, at Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington.
She was born April 8, 1935 in Paragould, Ark., daughter of Willis and Roselie Raines Higgins.
She was a former resident of Bloomfield but had lived in the Farmington area for the past few years. She was a member of the Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield.
On Sept. 26, 1967, she married Allen Letes Mowery. He died April 4, 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Day of Iron Mountain Lake; a stepdaughter, Christine Lundall of Osceola, Ark.; a stepson, Letes Mowery of Osceola; two brothers, Joe Higgins of Dexter and Jack Higgins of Bloomfield; two sisters, Doris Faye Mowery and Roberta James, both of Bloomfield; and 14 grandchildren.
A son preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Bernie Cemetery.
