Sheryl Young

Sheryl Lynn Kightlinger Young, 63, of Glen Allen, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 19, 1956, in Belleville, Illinois, daughter of James Kightlinger and Lorraine Poole Dedmon. She and Robert Young were united in marriage April 18, 1981.

Sheryl owned a campground along with her husband, Robert, for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Young; son, Robert Nelson Young of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Regina Jordan of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Leona Young of Glen Allen; brother, Ronnie Kightlinger of Springfield, Missouri; sisters, Patricia Meister of O'Fallon, Illinois, Darlene Stewart of Cincinnati and Beverly Edwards of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lorraine; daughter, Christina McCulloch; and brother, Butch Kightlinger.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

A celebration of Sheryl's life will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eugene Poole officiating.
