Sherry Lynne Jacobs, 48, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill, Mo., after a long illness. She will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

She was born Oct. 17, 1965, in Cape Girardeau to Herman Asbury and Lavana "Faye" Ziegler Jacobs.

Sherry was a hairdresser for 22 years, a 1984 graduate of Scott City High School and a 1985 graduate of Stage One Beauty School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Glastetter (Tyler Stephens) of Scott City; a brother, Joe Jacobs of Scott City; three sisters, Donna Amick and Connie (Brian) Ressel, both of Scott City, and Darla (Kris) Eifert of Festus, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Whitney Horrell) Amick, Britne and Blake (Angie Pendergrass) Amick, Craig (Ashley) Eifert, Amber and Kristi (Korey Ferguson) Eiftert; great-nephews, Owen Amick and Kaiden Woods; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and twin nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, with the Rev. William Hennecke as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to cover funeral expenses.
