Sherry Alice Braden, 57, of Liberty, Mo., formally of Scott City, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
She was born May 26, 1954, in Chaffee, Mo., daughter of Edward Baker and the late Sarah Baker, and sister to Ron and Don Baker. She married Richard K. Braden on Dec. 23, 1972, and spent 39 wonderful years with the love of her life.
Sherry thought her greatest legacy was her children, Dana Braden and Susan Gifford, and her grandchildren, Brennon, Baylee and Braden Gifford. She lit up a room with her smile and laughter. She loved hummingbirds and was the best cook anyone could ever imagine. Most importantly, she lived her life as a loving and generous spirit. It was her decision to donate life so that others may live.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund has been set up for her grandchildren and donations may be sent to Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 Northwest 108th St., Kansas City, MO 64155, 816-734-5500.
