SHERLEY 'FIB' MORGAN

EAST PRAIRIE -- Sherley Wayne "Fib" Morgan, 63, of East Prairie, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at his home.

He was born June 25, 1936, at New Madrid, son of Martin Robert and Anna Francis Rankin Morgan. He and Bertha Lee Gregg were married Aug. 3, 1957. He had lived most of his life in East Prairie, but had formerly lived in Barlow, Ky., He was a farmer and paper maker. He was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.

He was an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He also served two years in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sons, Eddy Wayne Morgan of Metropolis, Ill., and Jeffrey Todd Morgan of Hampton, Va.; a daughter, Paula Ann Morgan Alderson of Wickliffe, Ky.; two sister, Elsie Bone of Charleston and Sheila Snider of Newburg; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, with Fred Girdwood and Curtis Alderson officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
