SHELBY THOMPSON

MINNITH -- Shelby Jean Thompson, 58, of Minnith died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at her home.

She was born April 2, 1939, at Minnith, daughter of Douglas and Roela Counts Brewester. She and Norval Lee Thompson were married Oct. 11, 1958.

Thompson had worked at Perry County Memorial Hospital 20 years. She was a member of Saline Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Dewanna Chappius of Perryville, Dana Brewer of Cedar Hill, Kim Schilly of Chester, Ill.; her father of Minnith; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saline Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steven Berry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
