Sharon L. Winchester was welcomed into Heaven’s gates Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.

She was a well-loved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always up for an adventure and cared about others’ needs before her own. A St. Louisan at heart, she loved all things related to the city. She was a die-hard Cardinals fan, enjoyed walking the paths of the Botanical Gardens, watching parades, eating delicious food on The Hill, spending summers with her grandchildren at Six Flags, scouting the Farmers Market, and adored the Muny.

She also had a passion for cooking, sewing, shopping, and gardening.

Sharon is survived by her loving family including brothers, Bill (Pat) Kleekamp, Jerry Kleekamp; children Cheryl (Gary) Alberternst, Michael (Polly) Winchester, Gregory Winchester; grandchildren Kimberly, Jennifer (Jason), Jason (Carrie), Megan (Chad), Amanda (Tyson), Maxwell, Nichole (Adam), Emily, Gus, Andrew (Belle), Mallory, Jeremy, Tyler; great-grandchildren Matthew (Ashton), Zachary (Brittany), Alexis (Caleb), Zoe, Madison, Jordan (Jessie), Olivia, Creston, Sophia, Cohen, Gracelynn, Trooper, Gryffin, Brodie, Tahlia; bonus grandchildren, Presley, McKinnley, Gabriella, Freya; life-long friend and sister-in-law, Peggy Moore; nieces and nephews. Sharon was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Edgar and Louise Kleekamp, brother Eddie, and sister Barb.

Sharon was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Edgar and Louise Kleekamp; brother, Eddie, and sister, Barb.

A celebration of life gathering will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, entrance 2, room 109.

Memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Botanical Gardens (towards a memorial paver), American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.

Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
