Septa Allie (Crockett) Grugan, 99, of 2525 Boutin Drive, Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.
She was born Feb. 6, 1899, in Stoddard County, Mo., daughter of Marion Crocket and Elisabeth Jane Lewis Crocket.
She married Milwood J. Grugan. He preceded her in death in October 1946.
She was employed 43 years at International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1965. She was an original member of the First General Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Eastern Star, Rebecca's Lodge and Disabled American Vets.
She is survived by a grandson, Dean Winstead of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Jayne Hopkins of Cape Girardeau; great-grandsons, Jeff Banks of Cape Girardeau and Sean Winstead of Jackson; a great-granddaughter, Chari Rothrock of Lexington, Ky.; and a great-great-grandson, Wiley Banks of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Winstead; a son, Leon Branch; a son-in-law, Othe Winstead; a brother; and five sisters.
Service will be held at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel Monday at 1 p.m,., with the Rev. David Griesemer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Arrangements are by Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel Inc., 829 N. West End Blvd., in Cape Girardeau.
