Selma I. Schmid, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born March 29, 1918, in Cowden, Ill., daughter of Frank and Fern Christy Fagg.
She married Eugene Schmid July 25, 1937, in Edwardsville, Ill.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Tom Schmid of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jean Schrumpf of St. Charles; four sisters, Bernice Simches of Virginia Beach, Va., Ione Pike and Mary Fiegenbaum of Edwardsville, Betty Bunte of Leasburg; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She lived in Edwardsville most of her life. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1986.
She was a member of Mt. Auburn Christian Church.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Wesley Wright officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
