S.E. Lewis, 74, 215 Minnesota, died Monday, July 13, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 28, 1924, at Bloomfield, the son of Simeon E. and Katie Lewis.
He married Pauline Orman on Oct. 8, 1944, at Bloomfield. She died in March 1961. He married Martha Stovall on July 19, 1990 in Cape Girardeau, and she survives of the home.
He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Union Electric in 1983 after 20 years' service. He was a member of the IBEW.
Survivors include two sons, S.E. Lewis Jr. of Hudson, Mich., and Jeffery L. Lewis of Madison, Ala.; two sisters, Ramona Brinkopf and Mary Slinkard, both of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
