EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Scott Wayne Woods of Little Elm, Texas and formerly of East Prairie, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Woods died Monday, April 1, at Bessemer, Ala. He was 20.

He was born Oct. 2, 1970 in Sikeston, the son of Kenneth N. Woods Sr. of Little Elm, Texas and Martha Burton of New Madrid.

He was employed with his father as an automobile mechanic in Little Elm.

Other survivors include a brother, Kenneth W. Woods Jr. of Little Elm; two sisters, Amanda M. Woods of Little Elm and Lacey Haley of New Madrid; a step-brother, Charles Storey of Little Elm; and grandparents, A.D. Woods of East Prarie, Catherine Burton of Morehouse and James Burton of Lexington, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, a brother and a sister.
