Sarah A. Stout, 77, of Cairo, Ill., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 28, 1926, in Fort Smith, Ark., daughter of Leo and Helen Beland Baudino. She married Harry T. Stout, who died in 2001.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo and the St. Patrick's Altar Guild and served as a nurse at St. Mary's Infirmary in Cairo.
Survivors include three sons, the Rev. Thomas Stout of Red Bud, Ill., John Stout of Mounds, Ill., Bill Stout of Olmsted, Ill.; three daughters, Mary Helen Wissinger of Cairo, Nan Hall of Centralia, Ill., Peggy Berryhill of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Leo Baudino of Cairo; one sister, Mary Kathleen Brown of Cairo; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. The holy rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo, with the Rev. Wilton D. Gregory presiding and the Revs. Thomas Stout and Jerome Fortenberry as celebrants. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Villa Ridge.
