BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Sarah M. Spurlock, 84, of Buncombe died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born March 31, 1913, in Lathe, Ark., daughter of John and Dora Wright. She first married Clyde Arnold, who preceded her in death. She and George M. Spurlock were married June 10, 1947...

BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Sarah M. Spurlock, 84, of Buncombe died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born March 31, 1913, in Lathe, Ark., daughter of John and Dora Wright. She first married Clyde Arnold, who preceded her in death. She and George M. Spurlock were married June 10, 1947.

Spurlock was a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Martha Woods of Buncombe; a sister, Lorene Dillow of Jonesboro; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a great-grandchild, and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery near Anna.
