ADVANCE -- Sarah Mahatta Jenkins, 95, of Advance, died Monday, Aug. 15, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 19, 1898, at Patton, daughter of James and Ellen Bollinger Long. She and the Rev. Adam Jenkins were married Dec. 30, 1939. He died Aug. 27, 1971...

ADVANCE -- Sarah Mahatta Jenkins, 95, of Advance, died Monday, Aug. 15, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 19, 1898, at Patton, daughter of James and Ellen Bollinger Long. She and the Rev. Adam Jenkins were married Dec. 30, 1939. He died Aug. 27, 1971.

Jenkins was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Celia Aldrich of Advance, and Clola Stady of Jackson.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Arvil Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery at Patton.
