SARAH L. VAUGHN

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Sarah L. Vaughn of Mounds Route 1 will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Eugene Williams will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Mrs. Vaughn, 85 years old, died Tuesday, March 19, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 11, 1906, in Miller City, daughter of Carl and Eunice Ice Bauer. She married James H. Vaughn, who died May 27, 1962.

Mrs. Vaughn was a retired salesclerk at Lerner Department Store in Chicago, and attended First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Carl and Hazel Vaughn of Mounds, William Vaughn of Boulder, Colo.; a brother, Lloyd Bauer of Chicago; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
