BURFORDVILLE -- Sarah Beuling Hopkins, 89, of Burfordville died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at her home. She was born Oct. 25, 1908, the daughter of A.F. and Marzilla Bridges Dockins. She married Noah Hopkins June 29, 1929, and he survives. She lived on a farm near Burfordville until 1959 when the family moved to their present home on Highway 34 between Burfordville and Jackson. ...

BURFORDVILLE -- Sarah Beuling Hopkins, 89, of Burfordville died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at her home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1908, the daughter of A.F. and Marzilla Bridges Dockins. She married Noah Hopkins June 29, 1929, and he survives.

She lived on a farm near Burfordville until 1959 when the family moved to their present home on Highway 34 between Burfordville and Jackson. She was a charter member of the former Burfordville Homemakers Club, the Jackson Trail Riders Club, the New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson, and the MFA Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons: N.D. Hopkins of Grand Prairie, Texas, Ora Lee Hopkins of Jackson and Terry Lane Hopkins of Burfordville; two daughters, Dianna Caramico of Canyon Country, Calif., and Delores J. Poulos of Palatine, Ill.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, a half-brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. O. David Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Russell Heights Cemetery.
