Sarah Heuschober, 99, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 22, 1913, at Uniontown, Mo., to Julius and Josephine Kasten Tanz. She and Clarence "C.J." Heuschober were married June 28, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1980...

Sarah Heuschober, 99, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her home.

She was born Dec. 22, 1913, at Uniontown, Mo., to Julius and Josephine Kasten Tanz. She and Clarence "C.J." Heuschober were married June 28, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Sarah was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and its Home Auxiliary. She was a personal caregiver many years and also volunteered with Saint Francis Auxiliary.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Beverly Winter of Baltimore; three nieces, Diane (Ronald) Broshuis of Cape Girardeau, Susan (Randy) Miles of Collinsville, Ill., and Theda Moore of Texas; two great-nieces, Jessica and Danielle Miles; a great-nephew, Andrew Miles; two stepgrandchildren; and several great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to service time today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Burgell officiating. Burial will be in Jackson City Cemetery.
