TAMMS, Ill. -- Sarah E. Pickett, 75, of Tamms died Saturday, May 3, 1995, at her home.
She was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Wetaug, daughter of Van Everett and Dora Belle Resch Lingle. She married Lester Pickett on Aug. 13, 1962, and he survives her.
She attended the Tamms Community Church and was a member of Caledonia Chapter #587 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Pulaski.
She is survived by two daughters, Bev Welch of Tamms and Rae Lilley of Apopka, Fla.; two sisters, Geraldine Braswell of Fulton, Ky., and Barbara King of Newburgh, Ind.; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery near Dongola.
