SARAH E. KAPPLER

SIKESTON -- Sarah Ellen Kappler, 96, of Sikeston died Saturday, Oct. 7, 1995, at the Miner Nursing Home.

She was born May 27, 1899, in Lyon County, Ky., the daughter of John David and Ethyl Perry Wissmann. She married Andrew Kappler on March 2, 1917, in Oran. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.

Survivors include three sons, Albert Kappler and Arnold Kappler of Sikeston and Joe Kappler of Everett, Wash.; a daughter Karen Diamond, of Sikeston; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Bryan Davis will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
