Sandra Prim

Sandra Prim, 80, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on Aug. 3, 2024. A talented florist and seamstress, she is survived by her husband Darrell, three children, five grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Sandra Carole Prim, 80, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Mounds, Illinois, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 17, 1943, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to Elmer Roscoe and Margaret Kathryn Bailey White.

Sandra and Darrell Prim were married July 28, 1984. He survives of Cape Girardeau.

Sandra was a florist at B & B Florist in Mounds and the Flower Center in Cairo, Illinois. She was a talented seamstress and sewed quilts by hand, crocheted and knitted.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Darrell Prim of Cape Girardeau; son, William Rutland; daughters, Cheryl Simpson and Christina Chavis; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and her beloved canines.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Robert and Carole Ann Rutland.

The cremation of Sandra was personally handled by the staff at Crain Funeral Home.
