Sandra C. Barsh, 69, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019.

She was born Aug. 28, 1949, in Plattsburgh, New York, to the late Douglas and Jean Underhill Jennett. Sandra married Dempsey Barsh on May 6, 1972.

She worked for Wickerworld Inc., Thorngate LTD and Rotary Corp. and was an Army wife. She was an award-winning cook and was a culinary judge for the Army on two occasions. Sandra loved flower gardening, feeding her birds, fishing and vacationing on St. Simon Island in Georgia. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.

Loving survivors include her husband of 47 years, Dempsey Barsh; daughter, Michelle (Tim) Biggerstaff of Oran, Missouri; son, Michael (Rhonda) Barsh of Cape Girardeau; three brothers; five sisters; six grandchildren, Douglas, Jacob, Hunter, Marcus, Madison and Christopher; and a great-grandchild, Damian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roger Christiansen officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Biggerstaff, Doug Barsh, Chris Duck, Jacob and Hunter Biggerstaff and Mike Aufdenberg.

Memorial donations may be given to Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or Missouri Special Olympics.
