MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Samuel Howard "Sam" Tillman, 83, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 24, 1931, at Shields, Missouri, son of Howard O. and Lilly Bea Buck Tillman. He and Nadine Willie were married Nov. 7, 1952, in Cardwell, Missouri.
Sam retired in 1995 from machinist work with Print Pac in Hazelwood, Missouri, and moved to Bollinger County.
He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sherri A. Tillman of St. Louis; two sons, Mitchell K. and Matthew J. Tillman of Marble Hill; a brother, George Tillman of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael; three brothers, Edward, Charles and Rand; and a sister, Virginia Ann.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Old Union Church Cemetery near Bessville, Missouri, with military honors.
