Samuel Louis Stephens, 27, of St. Louis, died Sunday, March 19, 1995, at St. Louis University Hospital, following a shooting incident.
He was born May 2, 1967, at Fredericktown, son of Michael P. and Martha Kinder Stephens. He and Sara Davant were married July 8, 1989, in Port Lavaca, Texas.
Stephens attended Central High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was contracts supervisor with Cooperheat Inc.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Seth Stephens of Georgia, Zachary Stephens of St. Louis; a daughter, Chelsea Stephens of St. Louis; his parents, a brother, Patrick Stephens, a sister, Sarah Stephens, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stephens, all of Cape Girardeau, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Floyd Kinder of Fredericktown.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Arthur Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
