Samuel J. Francis, 38, of Cape Girardeau passed away July 25, 2013, in Bonne Terre, Mo.
He was born Aug. 5, 1974, the son of Gary and Donna Calvert Francis.
Sam had been a tattoo artist. He grew up in the General Baptist faith and also attended the Indian Fellowship. He was a 1991 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School.
Sam and Amanda Clemmons were united in marriage.
Survivors include his parents, Gary and Donna Francis of Advance, Mo.; his wife, Amanda Francis of Festus, Mo.; three sons, Gabriel Francis of Imperial, Mo., Jhesigh Wilson of Crystal City, Mo., and Haven Francis of Festus; a daughter, Kelsy Ward of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, Rocky (Angie) Francis of Cape Girardeau, Mike Francis of Humansville, Mo., Adam Francis of Las Vegas, Russell (Shelly) Francis of Duquoin, Ill., and Jason Francis of Imperial.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Francis and the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. There will be a private family burial at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
