MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Samuel A. Decker, 81, of Morehouse died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 3, 1919, in Arkansas, son of Walter and Alice Rose Brown Decker. He and Genevieve Moore were married Oct. 21, 1939, at Benton, Mo.
Decker moved to Morehouse three years ago from East Prairie, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Sammy Decker of Pevely, Mo.; two daughters, Alice Sutton and Barbara Wiseman of Dunnellon, Fla.; a brother, Robert Decker of Lancaster, Calif.; three sisters, Hazel James of Hayti, Mo., Rachel Shultz of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Geraldine Burns of Sikeston, Mo.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Sammy Decker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
