Sammie David Bryant, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 14, 2000, at The Lutheran Home.

He was born on Oct. 21, 1908, at Mcdeau.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God for over 58 years. He was a past treasurer, Sunday school superintendent and teacher, and president of the youth group.

He worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. for over 47 years, at Hutson Furniture for more than 10 years and at McDonald's on Broadway for over 13 1/2 years.

Survivors include his wife of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Vercel D. Bryant of Hickman, Ky., and Charles D. Bryant of Leavenworth, Kan.; a daughter, Kathie Louise Haupt of Fruitland; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The Revs. Gary Brothers and Charles Lance will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
