COBDEN, Ill. -- Charles Thomas "Sam" Henderson, 77, of Cobden died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Illinois Veterans Home in Anna. He was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Cobden, son of Sam Preston and Ariel Finley Henderson. Henderson was a retired painter. He was a member of Anna VFW Post 3455, and was affiliated with Congregational Church in Cobden. He was a veteran of World War II...

COBDEN, Ill. -- Charles Thomas "Sam" Henderson, 77, of Cobden died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.

He was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Cobden, son of Sam Preston and Ariel Finley Henderson.

Henderson was a retired painter. He was a member of Anna VFW Post 3455, and was affiliated with Congregational Church in Cobden. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3455.
