TAMMS, Ill. -- Sallie Mae DeJarnett, 94 of Tamms, Ill. died Monday, July 6, 1992 at the Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born July 31, 1897 at Clinton, Ky., the daughter of Henry and Hester Bone Cagle.
She married Claude Ezra "Sam" DeJarnett, who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1957.
She was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church in Shiloh, Ky.
Survivors are one son, Ezra "Shorty" DeJarnett of Tamms; six daughters, Willie Mae Jonakin, Union City, Tenn., Lilllie Mae Flannery, Warren, Mich., Catherine Dillworth, Blandville, Ky., Louise McDaniel, Granite City, Ill., Betty Timm, Bradley, Ill. and Martha Bufford of Tamms; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great- great-grandson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. Funeral service will be at the funeral home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.
