Ruth C. Wickman, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born June 21, 1928, in Chicago, to Elmer and Barrett Caroline Petersen Osher. Ruth and Robert G. Wickman were married June 2, 1951, in Oak Park, Ill.
She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert G. Wickman of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Cheryl Southern of Chicago, Debra (Thomas) Milasinovic of Lancaster, N.Y., and Gail (L. Dean) Short of Jonesboro, Ill.; a brother, Robert Elmer (Doris) Osher of Ventura, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Dr. Cozumel (Hunter) Pruette of Baltimore, Md., D. Jason (Jade) Short and Zachary Todd (Tiffany) Short of Anna, Ill., Michael (Katie) Short-Goss of Alto Pass, Ill., Thomas R. (Candy) Milasinovic of Depew, N.Y., Gabe (Sarah) Short-Mead of Dongola, Ill., and Michelle A. Milasinovic of Lancaster; seven great-grandchildren, Chanel Marie Short, Emerson Pruette, Haynes Barrett Pruette, Emma Tweedy, Hank Goss, Madyson Mead and Alivia Mead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Joan Gibson.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lutheran Home Hospice.
