Funeral service for Ruth B. Umbeck of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Joe McCullough will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Umbeck, 68, died Monday, Feb. 12, 1996, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.
She was born March 16, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John M. and Adela D. Harris Cox. She and Roy Herman Umbeck were married March 18, 1945.
Umbeck was a cook at the Pancake House.
Survivors include a son, John Umbeck of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Ronald Umbeck of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Jim Cox of Casper, Wyo., John Cox of Lakewood, Colo., George Cox of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three sisters, Margaret Cobb of Cape Girardeau, Francis Gilbertson of Markesan, Wis., Pat Blankenship of Westville, Ill.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
